The KOMA Karanth Foundation, in partnership with Oceans Plastics, has been delivering hands-on workshops on plastic pollution across multiple classrooms.
As summer break approached, the foundation organized a special field trip for the children from its little school. The day began at the local landfill — a powerful and eye-opening experience that brought the reality of waste into sharp focus. Afterwards, the group gathered nearby to discuss how trash affects the environment and explore practical ways to reduce it. The children also took part in a hands-on clean-up effort.
The day concluded on a positive note, with everyone enjoying a well-deserved meal from the KOMA food cart.
A meaningful and impactful way to close an important learning experience.
