Last month, Roma sponsored a special feeding program in honour of her father’s birthday. It was dedicated to a remote tribal community living deep in the mountains.

These resilient families walked four long hours — barefoot and tired, yet filled with hope — just to receive a simple meal of rice. For them, rice is a true luxury, and what we often take for granted became a day of celebration, joy, and togetherness.

After the meal, as they prepared for the long journey home, they quietly asked if we could spare a little rice for the elders and children who were too weak to make the trip. That humble request touched us deeply.

I immediately called Roma and shared their request. Without a moment’s hesitation, she replied, “Let’s do it.”

Today, we were able to distribute 25kg bags of rice to 58 families. The area is so remote that our vehicles couldn’t reach them, so the families trekked back up the mountains once again — smiling, with children proudly carrying bags almost as heavy as themselves. It was an incredibly humbling sight.

Thank you, Roma. The world truly needs more compassionate hearts like yours.
